**Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services**
Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services focus on the delivery of student support services including support for student in the areas of disability, mental health and wellbeing, complex needs, as well as behaviour and attendance. The key outcomes/products of the CWMHS are: closer alignment and coordination of psychological and child Protection services delivered to schools, improved response to emerging and urgent needs with local solutions, developed in collaboration with local wellbeing teams and identification and understanding of best practice approaches to services delivery.

**About the role**

The Business Operations Support Officer provides a broad range of business support services and leverages extensive business knowledge to support the Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services team and facilitate the delivery of business operations.

**Key accountabilities will include**:

- Provide a range of business support services, including coordinating corporate induction and staff training, coaching, and developing staff and providing technical, system and procedural advice to ensure consistency and accuracy in the administration of relevant policies and guidelines.
- Respond to and resolve complex enquiries and issues to ensure the provision of accurate information, and the timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Closely scrutinise and edit written material ensuring it is comprehensive, editorial accurate and consistent with departmental protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes, and policies, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
- Develop, implement, and monitor office systems, procedures, and methods, adapting processes and techniques as required, to facilitate efficient business operations in line with Departmental standards, policies and procedures.
- Provide procurement assistance to the business including ensuring documentation (eg standard templates, training manuals) is current and fit for purpose, reviewing compliance to policies and procedures and responding to queries as needed.
- Review and assess business processes to identify process improvements, efficiencies, and improvements to service delivery.
- Manage specific projects as identified by management and provide overall administrative and project support to the business and projects.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Relevant qualification in Business Administration Support and/or experience in providing business operations support services.
- Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
