Club Sensei

Do you know your Redstone from your Netherite? If so, we’d love to meet you.

We have a passion for developing young minds in new and exciting ways, running workshops using Minecraft. Our workshops are weekly in Ellenbrook, Currambine and Hocking, and in the school holidays at various locations. Our goal is to support our members to develop their literacy, numeracy, social skills, empathy and compassion for others. We model our Minecraft community on the comradery of a Dojo. Our Club Leaders, the Sensei, guide and mentor our dedicated community, our Ninjas, on their Minecraft journey.

**We are Looking for Someone Who**:

- Has a passion for education and developing kids’ creativity (pre-service and fully registered teachers are desirable, however not required)
- Is a compassionate and supportive individual
- Is an easy-going character who will facilitate workshops in a fun, safe and friendly manner
- Can supervise access to electronic devices to develop safe and healthy online behaviour
- Is happy to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Is able to build strong relationships with parents and children
- Can create and implement challenges for the Ninjas and assist them where required
- Can maintain records and communicates effectively
- Enjoys learning
- Experience with Minecraft (preferably Java Edition)
- Working With Children’s Check (or the capacity to attain one, as well as a Police Clearance)
- Demonstrated ability to work with children from 6 to 14 years old
- Working knowledge of special learning needs including ADHD and Autism
- Driver’s License and vehicle
- Commitment to a fixed, weekly, after-school class (North Of River), and/or availability during school holidays (potential for school-day work also)
- Basic IT troubleshooting skills

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour
