**Maxme is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) **to join its growing team. The BDR will play a crucial role in driving lead generation, prospecting, and contributing to Maxme’s business development goals. In particular, the BDM will focus on lead generation, prospecting and sales of Maxme’s human skills programs for organisations within Australia. This position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and networking skills, a knack for building relationships, and a proven track record in outbound sales, particularly in engaging with enterprise-level businesses with 250+ employees. The role will also pursue sales opportunities across the independent high school sector to sell Amica - Maxme’s work readiness programs for schools. You will be directly contributing to the realisation of large revenue growth aspirations in 2024 and onwards, setting Maxme on the path to achieving global recognition.

**Reporting to**: Maxme currently runs a flat structure and this role will report into the CEO. In time, this role may report into a Head of Sales.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Leverage existing networks, build new connections, pursue look-alike companies, and manage inbound inquiries.
- Generate lead lists based on identified target markets.
- Input leads into the CRM HubSpot and establishes sales sequences within HubSpot for automated high-velocity outreach.
- Qualify leads, progressing them to the opportunity stage for deal generation and closure, or escalate/handover Tier 1 opportunities to senior sales staff, including the Founder/CEO.
- Evaluate leads based on criteria such as the number of employees, budget for Maxme programs, buyer authority, purchasing timelines, and specific employer problem states.
- Conduct outbound calls to businesses, connecting with decision-makers and navigating gatekeepers.
- Set meetings and provide demonstrations of the Maxme Human Skills Programs.
- Undertake discovery of opportunities to scope and recommend best program solutions to prospective clients.
- Maintain diligent and accurate contact and company record-keeping in HubSpot.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads, including setting up joint meetings for handovers.
- Execute on key actions in accordance with the defined Objectives and Key Results.
- Leverage the Maxme brand and marketing guidelines to create and maintain necessary sales collateral to support go-to-market efforts.
- Analyse sales pipeline and activity data, define key milestones, report on performance, and make optimisations to sales processes to improve sales KPIs.
- 1-3 years experience in a commercial sales role or equivalent at a mid tier firm, or startup, servicing the professional services sector.
- Be a people person who thrives on building strong relationships.
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen carefully and make sure our prospects feel heard and understood.
- Utilise strong written and verbal skills, active listening, and a positive mindset.
- Be a self starter and proactive in establishing and executing evolving sales tactics to optimise conversion and revenue.
- Familiarity with enablement tools such as CRMs (HubSpot preferred), Confluence, Slack, Clearbit, Canva, and Google Suite, to name a few.
- Meet and exceed performance metrics including the number of new opportunities, new deals won, total client revenue, and tasks logged to prospect contacts.
- Have a zest for chasing down strategic business objectives, alongside stretch sales and business development targets

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
