About the Role
Major
**Responsibilities**:
*
- 1. Student Management and Support
- Supervise students
- as required in Reflect/Reboot space.
- Support student engagement in learning.
- Support Student Services Team to identify and reduce barriers to student participation and engagement.
- Support classroom teachers to reengage students in learning.
- Support student reflection and relationships building.
- Facilitate classroom teacher and student restorative conversations.
- Coordinate strategies and procedures to counter cause/s of avoidance of school or classroom.
- Liaise with families to assist with transitions leading to improved educational engagement and attainment.
- 2. Staff Development and Performance
- Maintain spreadsheets, data bases and accurate record keeping in relation to student referrals, follow up and support provided.
- Weekly/fortnightly line management meeting with Guidance Officer
- Operational Lead
- Weekly collation and communication of data to SLT
- 3. Resource Management and Operational Excellence
- Support Student Services Team with management of:

- Room resourcing and budget
- Referral form refinement and distribution
About You
- Demonstrable commitment to the strategic direction of Shailer Park State High School
- Strong commitment to the wellbeing of the students of the school
- Ability to motivate and inspire effective relationship building
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work effectively within the Student Services Team
- Effective planning and organisation skills, with the ability to manage conflicting demands and to meet deadlines
- Understanding of Restorative practice
