**About The Role**
Reporting into General Manager, Financial Crime, you’ll work closely with the Financial Crime Oversight team to ensure Sportsbet manages its financial crime risk profile and implements controls to manage the relevant risks and compliance obligations efficiently, in accordance with pragmatic policies, frameworks, and processes. These extend to the policies and frameworks of the Flutter Entertainment Group.
Your position will lead the Financial Crime Oversight function to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor top financial crime-related enterprise and emerging risks, building out a comprehensive end-to-end assurance program. You will work closely with Legal and Compliance SMEs across the business, including Sportsbet’s AML Compliance Officer to ensure we are efficient and effective in managing financial crime risks and our compliance obligations
**Responsibilities Include**:
- Support the design and implementation of enhanced or new controls to further manage financial crime risk as the business evolves and grows
- Work with key stakeholders to build risk awareness of financial crime risk management across the business
- Conduct regular assurance reviews across all aspects of the AML Program and prepare formal reporting to relevant stakeholders, including Senior Management
- Ensuring senior staff in the first line are suitably equipped to cope with the growing complexity of financial crime risk and compliance landscape across the business
- Coordinate the investigation, resolution, and internal reporting of financial crime-related risk events and actual or potential compliance breaches
- Provide specialist financial crime advice and views of financial crime risk management to brief senior management and the Board, enabling them to make informed decisions and take timely action
- Assessing and evaluating operational policies and procedures to achieve identified financial crime-related Risk and Compliance Management objectives and drive improvements where necessary
- Support the preparation of comprehensive reporting to align with Sportsbet and Flutter Group governance requirements.
