Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is an integrated transport infrastructure and precincts planning project that will deliver a 90km rail line linking every major train service from the Frankston Line to the Werribee Line via Melbourne Airport, as well as investment in the suburbs, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project, procure builders, develop structure planning for SRL Precincts and oversee construction and the other changes that will help transform Melbourne and Victoria. SRL is more than a rail project. It’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to plan for and prepare our city and state to meet the needs of future Victorians, and we can’t do it alone. **About the opportunity**

SRLA is seeking to engage an _Interface Manager _to work on the Suburban Rail Loop Project. This role will be to support and assist in the management of all internal and external interfaces on SRL East's Initial and Early works package. Internal interfaces will include cross-package physical and functional interfaces across the full project lifecycle where the major work package forms a part of the interface. External interfaces may include interdependent projects that have physical and/or functional interfaces with the initial and early works package, or more broadly any part of the works that involves interfacing with external statutory and other third-party stakeholders.

The role will involve working closely a broad range of stakeholders from across main works packages, SRLA and external third parties to review and agree on the interpretation of interface definition documentation within the work package contract, then to ensure that interfacing parties work collaboratively to develop, approve and execute interface documentation that forms an agreed position between interfacing parties on how the interface will be managed, developed, delivered and handed over between parties over the course of the project. This will require detailing and delineating the interface's scope and requirements, staging and programming, design development, procurement, construction delivery, commissioning, completions, and handover, between interfacing parties.

The role will also involve managing change and the resolution of interface issues as they arise, provision of regular work package interface status reporting to work package leadership and SRLA, as well as ensuring that the major work package is conforming to all interface related SRLA contractual requirements, governance frameworks and management plans.

The role requires expertise in the development and delivery of major rail and/or tunnel infrastructure projects combined with the ability to build and maintain high-level influential relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, all of which is fundamental. You will have an Engineering qualification or similar relating to construction management with experience working within large scale infrastructure projects.
