Right now we’re looking for Marketing and Community Foundation Volunteers to join our team.

**About the role**

Our volunteers are highly valued for the support that they provide to our residents and clients. In return, our volunteers feel rewarded and have the opportunity to develop their skills and experience.

Volunteer roles with Southern Cross Care are always centred on socialising, meeting new people and connecting with our community. This role is also an opportunity for a volunteer to be involved in activities that are important for promoting healthy ageing and building lives free from loneliness and isolation.

Marketing and Community Foundation Volunteers are involved in a range of activities and duties tailored to their interests and skills, including:

- Assisting at exciting events such as expos, open days, awards nights and special celebrations
- Supporting fundraising activities such as donation appeals
- Undertaking marketing duties such as taking photos, writing and planning promotional activities

We appreciate the commitment and support of our volunteers and work with each one to arrange the most suitable days and times for them to volunteer with us.

This position would best suit those with some experience with computers, clear communication skills, a passion for healthy ageing and empathy.

All volunteers require the following;

A current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of Aged Care, or be willing to obtain one
Evidence you have received the 2023 Influenza Vaccination

In addition, as per the Australian Government mandate for Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF), Southern Cross Care requires that all volunteers based at a RACF are to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and require proof that they have received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
