**The Role**

Due to continued growth within our business, we are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Helidon team. You will provide maintenance service to the manufacturing facility in order to reduce plant down-time, improve production scheduling, increase cost efficiency and ensure equipment is safe to use.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to ensure safe continuous, effective, efficient plant operations by providing technical expertise across the maintenance team members, procedures, plant equipment and facilities. You will assist in aligning maintenance plans to the operational strategy across the key deliverables of safety, environment, production, quality, customer expectations in order to restore plant capacity in a timely manner.

You will also:

- Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on assembly machines
- Assist in implementation of new plant
- Ensure that planned maintenance is completed as per the maintenance schedule
- Strong safety mindset and work safely, (Understanding of safety improvement activities, Job Safety Analysis/Safe Work Method Statements, etc)
- Schedule and oversee contractors and issue work permits
- Assist in the development and implementation of new plant by providing technical skills and constructive input

**About You**
- Trade certificate in fitting, or experience as a maintenance technician/service technician
- Restricted Electrical License (highly desirable)
- Certificate in Instrumentation (fault find/replace sensors and solenoids)
- Experience in pneumatic systems and control (desirable)
- Knowledge of automation and sortation systems
- Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Office and SAP (desirable)
- Interpret Electrical and Mechanical schematics (highly desirable)
- Experience in continuous operations maintenance team
- Genuine appreciation of workplace safety management
- Positive, proactive, solution focused attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to cover shift work and overtime when required
- Required to pass checks for:QLD Explosives Security Clearance (National Police History Check)

You are a result driven person with experience in fault finding, preventive and corrective maintenance on various packaging machines/manufacturing automation. You utilise the tools at your disposal to achieve results. You are able to do this in a complex safety critical environment.

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to
