The successful personTo excel in this position, you will bring demonstrated experience and leadership in regulatory policy and managing legislative improvement within government. You will also have a track record of producing evidence-based policy documents, such as reports, submissions, briefing notes, and legislative proposals, tailored for stakeholder engagement and legislative purposes.
Moreover, you will possess outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with proven success in engaging with diverse stakeholders across various levels. This includes the ability to build strong relationships, influence decision-making, and effectively represent the department in interjurisdictional and state-wide committees and forums. Your exceptional written communication skills and experience in preparing complex briefings and submissions for senior executives, as well as for ministerial, cabinet, and parliamentary processes, will be crucial.
