Hseq Trainee

**WHAT WE DO**

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Our Corporate Development group provides functional assistance and business support in the areas of organisational development, human resources, marketing, communications and WHSEQ systems. Within this department we have an opportunity for a WHSEQ Trainee. This is an opportunity to unleash your passion with training and support from the ground up.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**

This position will be involved in a cross section of WHSEQ responsibilities in our diverse and innovative engineering organization. As part of a friendly and professional team, your role will specifically involve:

- Supporting the implementation of corporate projects
- Providing assistance for small group improvement projects
- Assist in the identification of root cause issues and development of appropriate corrective actions
- Participating in WHSEQ investigations
- Maintaining WHSEQ databases and
- Assisting in the review of systems

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**

In order to undertake and succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a range of essential skills and behaviours. As an entry level position it is not essential that you have experience in WHSEQ systems; though it is preferred.

Essential criteria:

- Competency in Microsoft Applications
- Current Driver’s License
- Experience working with a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Willingness to undertake additional formal education
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent time management skills
- Focus on service delivery

Desirable Criteria:

- Experience in WHSEQ systems and management
- Formal tertiary qualifications in WHSEQ
- Qualifications or experience in assisting incident investigation
- WHSEQ consultation and or committee experience
