**Plant Operator/Multi-Skilled Workers & Multi-Skilled Workers - Waste, Cleansing and Public Safety (multiple vacancies)**

We currently opportunities for suitably experienced Plant Operator/Multi-Skilled Workers and Multi-Skilled Workers to join our Waste, Cleansing and Public Safety team in Maroubra.

A commitment to workplace safety is fundamental as well as providing superior customer service to promote a positive image of Council. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly advantageous.

- Drivers licences and relevant other certified qualifications
- Plant Operator/Multi-Skilled Workers - MR or HR drivers licence
- Multi-Skilled Worker - C drivers license
- A current WHS General Construction Induction (White) card
- Experience operating waste collection vehicles
- Demonstrated experience working in a team and an operational environment
- Experience in dealing with members of the public
- An ability to perform duties with mínimal supervision
- A willingness to comply with all Council’s policies and procedures

**Things you will do**:

- Focus on quality customer service based on the needs of our community
- Perform duties with mínimal supervision, while also being able to work in a team environment when required
- Operate plant and equipment consistent with specifications, and in accordance with regulations.
- ensure that the required tasks are completed in an effective and efficient manner
- Be self-motivated and show initiative in your area of responsibility
- Ensure compliance with legislative, industrial and Council policy requirements and standards in the areas of Equal Employment Opportunity; Work, Health and Safety and Rehabilitation; and environmental protection.
- Ensure an ethic with the focus on quality customer service that is responsive to the needs of the community
- Ensure vehicle maintenance check sheets are completed daily, identifying and reporting any damage or mechanical repairs needed and be responsible for the general cleanliness and appearances of Council’s vehicle whilst under your control
- Focus on quality customer service based on the needs of our community

Monday to Friday 6:00am - 3:00pm with a 9-day fortnight

$64,003 - $70,406 per annum + 11% super + appropriate shift allowances

Plant Operator/Multi-Skilled Worker

Permanent part-time - 56 hours per fortnight

Thursday to Saturday and every second Wednesday - 4:00am until 12:30pm

$32.39 - $35.63 per hour 11% super + appropriate shift allowances

Multi-Skilled Worker

Permanent part-time - 56 hours per fortnight in winter and 63 hours per fortnight in summer

Thursday to Saturday and every second Wednesday 12:30pm to 10:00pm (summer) and 10:00am to 6:30pm (winter)

$30.27 - $33.29 per hour 11% super + appropriate shift allowances

Multi-Skilled Worker

Permanent part-time - 56 hours per fortnight in winter and 63 hours per fortnight in summer

Sunday to Tuesday and every second Wednesday 12:30pm to 10:00pm (summer) and 10:00am to 6:30pm (winter)
