**The Role**
The ASD 6 Behavioural Analyst applies their behavioural, data science, cultural and/or all source intelligence knowledge, skills, and experience to the ASD mission.

**The duties of an ASD6 Behavioural Analyst include the following**:
1. Understands and initiates team activities with a strategic perspective using data science principles or behavioural, socio-cultural and/or all source assessments for complex intelligence problems, including during the operational planning cycle and the execution of operations.
2. Supervises the written work of others and provides verbal and written analysis that synthesises information derived from a range of sources.
3. Builds and sustains positive relationships with team members and supports junior staff in their work. Develops positive and fruitful relationships with stakeholders.
4. Identify training needs and develop and deliver behavioural and cultural training as required by mission objectives.
5. Research and analyse current cultural and behavioural science literature to facilitate compliance with evidenced-based best practice.
6. Consult with analysts, data scientists and researchers as well as developers to support data collection and enrichment.
7. Uses innovation and creativity to develop the capability using a range of behavioural analysis techniques.

**The duties of an EL1 Behavioural Analyst include the following**:
1. Accountable for leading and supervising behavioural analysts and working within a multidisciplinary team.
2. Accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, sharing expertise with others and guiding and mentoring less experienced employees.
3. Employ data science principles, perform a range of behavioural, cultural and/or all source assessments for complex intelligence problems, including during the operational planning cycle and the execution of operations.
4. Supervises the written work of others and provides verbal and written analysis that synthesises information derived from a range of sources.
5. Builds and sustains positive relationships with team members and supports junior staff in their work. Develops positive and fruitful relationships with stakeholders.
