**About the role**
This is a **permanent**, **full-time**, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm position working **35 hours** per week. This position is located at 2 McIntyre Way, Bomaderry.

**Duties**
Reporting directly to the Lead - Land Management, the focus of this position is to:

- Represents Council at stakeholder workshops and industry meetings.
- Undertake strategic planning to enable the sustainable management of Natural Areas - considering factors such as biodiversity, usage, priority weeds, pests, revegetation, etc.
- Undertake strategic asset planning for Natural Area infrastructure and liaise with other areas of Council responsible for delivering audits and works.
- Provide technical advice to, and liaise with, relevant Council staff about Natural Area management and legislation.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise contractors and staff to undertake work on natural areas.
- Ensure integration of Natural Area operations into Natural Resource Management plans.

**Skills & Experience**
To be successful in the position, you will be/possess:

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to Natural Area operations/management with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the research, analysis and development of environmental policy, strategies and plans relating to environmental and ecological matters.
- Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to foster teamwork within and between teams to deliver services for the benefit of the community.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and work within available budgets and resourcing levels.
