**About the role**

Permanent role in a Bank for an entry level / junior Scrum Master

The Scrum Master facilitates, inspires and guides Squads to realize their goals and to become successful self-supporting teams.

You will be responsible for the promotion, roll out and assurance of the Agile principles in the squad and for the Agile rhythm of the Squad.

**Key Responsibilities**
- In reference to Agile best practices and learnings from previous projects, establishes the scrum framework for the team.
- Facilitates Agile ceremonies on Squad level and organize scrum meetings, sprint planning and task definition, sprint execution, impediment removal and tracking, sprint review, and retrospectives.
- Coaches the team in self-organization and cross-functionality, single point of contact for the team regarding all Agile questions
- Coaches individual team members and Product Owner to develop skills and Agile understanding where needed.
- Works in close co-operation with the product owner in terms of planning and priorities. Support PO in Squad backlog management
- Maintaining all scrum tools (roadmap, backlog, scrum board, progress charts, etc.)
- Ensures that Agile-related reporting and metrics, such as burn downs and status updates, are relevant, transparent, and add value.
- Provides insights to improve team effectiveness, including progress charts and leads a scrum team with a clear understanding of business and IT context.
- Ensures solid and consistent backlog administration and encourages administrative team discipline.
- Drives development of the release and sprint roadmaps.
- In partnership with the product owner, mentors/coaches, scrum teams on user story sizing and acceptance criteria definition, facilitates the definition of mínimal viable product, and leads continuous refinement and prioritization of the product backlog.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Professional Scrum Master certification (PSM I / CSM)
- Experience as a scrum master in an IT or software development setting (1+ years).
- Experience leading Agile scrum teams in complex environments.

**Agile Knowledge**:

- Familiar with the 8 stances of a Scrum Master.
- Good understanding of Agile scrum and other Agile methodologies.
- Good appreciation of Agile practices and principles, principally scrum, and experience advocating these practices and principles across cross-functional teams.
