My Stars Berwick - Is looking for teachers.
My Stars Berwick is located in the heart of the southeast suburb rising education hub, Berwick. The service is an 8 min drive from the closest train station. The centre is a government-approved Funded Long daycare and Kindergarten service operating from Monday to Friday from 6:30 am till 6:30 pm.
The stand-alone and family-owner service has been operating for 10 years, with a pair of Early Learning Teachers (mother and daughter duo) running the service's day-to-day operation.
We have a wonderful multicultured environment at My Stars Berwick and an enthusiastic team of educators, many of whom have worked with us from the start

Skills and experience
The successful applicant will require:
- Recognised qualification or evidence that you are an Early Childhood Teachers Degree, Bachelor in Child Services.
- Up-to-date first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications.
- A Working With Children Check and Child Protection Certificate
- Two professional referees(industry-specific)
- Legal ability to live and work in Australia.
- Victorian Driver License
- VIT Card

- Extensive knowledge of EYLF and NQS and a commitment to excellence in early childhood to provide high-quality care and education.
- Deliver quality education programs and daily routines including intentional teaching and spontaneous experiences that meet the needs and interests of each child
- The development and implementation of the program planned for the children in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Good leadership skills can support, encourage, and motivate other educators to continue striving for their own goals.
General Duties
The following duties must be performed on a daily basis as directed by the supervisor:
- Supervising children
- Assisting in the day to daycare of children
- Monitoring the health, safety, and wellbeing of children
- Communicating with fellow educators, children, and parents when asked on a regular basis
- Maintain a safe environment in accordance with WHS policy
- Meeting and greeting children, parent and fellow educators
- Completing all relevant paperwork on time.
- Program and Planning (Observations - Individual and Group) (Daily Journals) (Report Writing)
Daily duties
The following daily duties must be performed as directed.
- Planning and Setting up equipment and experiences (indoor and outdoor) as directed
- Packing away equipment/experiences
- Wiping all surfaces such as tables, chairs, and benchtops daily
- Mopping floor of children’s bathroom, and cleaning children’s toilets and hand basins
- Completing a daily safety check of the outdoor play area
- Serving children’s meal during mealtimes
- Setting up and packing away children’s bedding.
- Planning and Preparing art/craft materials and resources
- Washing and folding laundry every day
- Interacting positively with children during indoor and outdoor play
- Undertaking all writing daily reflecting and observation of children
- Planning appropriate program and planning
- Awareness of children needs, routines, paperwork and requirements
- Awareness of room ratios, shift start time/finish time and the timing of their own break.
- Other duties as directed
Duties for the Room Leader include but not limited to:
- Provide leadership and positive role modelling to early childhood professionals to support quality practices and the philosophies and values of the Service
- Deliver quality education programs and daily routines including intentional teaching and spontaneous experiences which meet the needs and interests of each individual child
- The development and implementation of the program planned for the children in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families and fellow educators and the broader centre community

The Leader educator must, at all times comply with:
- All lawful instruction is given by the 2ic or director or as stated in the Centre’s policies and procedures.
