The Traineeship Supervisor will provide a supported work experience program for a group of 14 trainees as they undertake their Cert I in Construction. You will have access to established work partner sites and to tools and equipment suitable for entry-level construction work.

This role will suit someone who is able to encourage, motivate and prepare young people to complete their traineeship in Construction.

**Successful Applicants Will Need**

**Quals & Technical Skills**
- Cert 3 in Carpentry or above
- Construction induction card (White card)
- A proven background in construction projects
- QLD Working with Children Check
- Current clean QLD Manual Drivers Licence, preferable LR (Light Rigid) level, or willingness to get this level.

**Work Program & Trainee Supervision**
- Ability to plan and deliver the day-to-day work program, including small projects, industry tours, site visits etc.
- Experience supervising an entry-level work team, acting as the first point of contact for all implementing all workplace terms and conditions;
- Experience in ensuring a safe working environment in line with organisational Workplace Health and Safety Policies and procedures;
**Other**
- Knowledge of the barriers facing young job seekers;
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to write reports
