**About the Opportunity**

ASC is committed to enterprise risk management as a core enabling discipline within the organisation that supports the achievement of our strategic objectives and drives decision making. As a valued member of our team, reporting to the Head of Risk Management, you will drive and improve a contemporary Risk Management framework, facilitate and review risk assessments, administer risk systems to support the business, and report on priority risks and key risk indicators. You will work closely with the risk coordinator network and provide training and coaching to strengthen risk capabilities across the organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the continuous improvement and implementation of ASC’s Risk Management Policy and Risk Management Framework (RMF) in accordance with international standards such as ISO 31000.
- Assume ownership of ASC’s Risk Management System, including functionality improvement, maintenance activities and end-user training.
- Build an effective Risk Coordinators Network and the capability of Risk and Control Owners across the business, including establishing and overseeing a Risk Academy, training programs, and coaching.
- Effective report writing including Board Performance Reporting, papers to the ASC Business Assurance and Security Committee, and the Risk Management Committee.
- Continuous improvement of risk practices, including identification of ways to reduce risk and assist in process improvement initiatives.
- Effective stakeholder engagement with team members, peers, management and executives across the organisation, and service providers providing system support and research capabilities.
- Coordinate assigned risk review boards and undertake secretariat duties.

Skills & Experiences
- Tertiary qualifications in one of Commerce, Business Administration or Engineering essential.
- Additional Risk Management certifications and a minimum of five years Enterprise Risk Management experience.
- Ability to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Level NV1).
- Experience in Enterprise Risk Management (essential) and Compliance and Business Continuity (advantageous).
- Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences and proficiency in Microsoft product suite.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- Advanced interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Exceptional communicator with excellent time management skills
- Previous experience within the Defence Industry will be advantageous, but not essential.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Level NV1). Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
