Product Draftsperson

**About the role**

Buildsafe is the industry leader, continually bringing new ideas and innovation to the market. As the Product Draftsperson you will create and update 3D design models and detailed manufacturing drawings. You will work with a cohesive and engaged team who share ideas and engage in open problem solving. For the right person this role has a great combination of support and autonomy.

You will be responsible for;
- Assisting with product design and development, from concept to production hand-off
- Executing mechanical designs using Solidworks 3D software
- Update and improve existing designs
- Maintain product documentation and revision updates
- Develop engineering drawings with detailed manufacturing and assembly specifications clearly communicated
- Make updates to manufacturing drawings
- Ideally, provide some technical expertise in fabrication methodologies including extrusions, die castings, plastic injection moulding, sheet metal

**About you**

You have a patient approach and excellent attention to detail. In order to be successful in this role you will bring:

- Proficiency and demonstrated experience in Solidworks software (essential)
- Experience with creating detailed manufacturing drawings (essential)
- Excellent documentation attention to detail (essential)
- Construction Industry Experience (desirable)
- Conceptual design and visualization skills
- Some knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practice manufacturing techniques
- Practical approach to problem solving
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with evolving requirements
