H-E Parts International Crushing Solutions Pty Ltd is a major supplier of crushing and equipment, spare parts and wear products, remanufactured components and consumables to the global mining, quarrying and heavy construction industries throughout Australia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join the team at H-E Parts at our Naval Base facility who has previous experience in the day to day running of a manufacturing workshop and has the necessary skills to supervise and mentor our Boilermakers, Apprentice’s and Trade Assistants. To be considered for this role applicants must have previous Supervisory experience, a strong focus and commitment to safety and the ability to manage job schedules and allocation of new and repair products in the workshop.
**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the Production team to ensure effective operation of the site to maximise efficiency and cost.
- Drive performance on a daily basis across the Operation.
- Ensure that project timelines are maintained and provide regular updates to Project Management Team on any expected delays or cost overruns
- Engage, lead, motivate and develop your team through effective people management strategies ensuring capability of people to achieve individual, team and overall site objectives
- Involve the team by encouraging and motivating them to deliver safety excellence and promote risk awareness
- Identify, drive and embed continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency programs
- Participate in, and support, operation improvement projects in conjunction with key stakeholders
- Optimise plant performance to reduce waste and downtime.
- Conduct morning pre-start meetings to cover all daily issues including; safety, job requirements, communication etc.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and internal customers
- Provide engineering/mechanical expertise for quotations when required
- Ensure sufficient manpower and resources are available to meet work requirements

**Qualifications and Experience required**:

- Trade qualification and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment or mining related industry
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory / leadership role
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime
- A proven commitment to Safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**Highly regarded (but not essential)**:

- Welding Qualifications “AS2214” or alike
- MR Licence
- LF, CN and EWP High Risk Licences
- Experience with Pronto or SAP
