The Opportunity _**

Working as part of the admissions team, the role of the Admissions RN is an vital role in ensuring that potential residents needs are identified and the right decision regarding their care needs is made specifically the Admissions RN will;
- Work in collaboration with hospitals, doctors, and other health care providers as well as facility Management (Managers, Care Managers and Clinical Governance teams) to build a complete and accurate picture of the potential resident’s needs.
- Based on this, make determination if admission to a particular facility is in the long-term interests of the resident based upon their clinical care needs in the immediate short term and beyond.
- Work with the news resident and their families to guide them through the admissions process at what can be a stressful and emotional time.

**_ About You_**

Given the importance of this role, it is essential that applicants have excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate experience in the aged care sector ideally in clinical governance, or as a Care Manager / Coordinator, or Senior Registered Nurse. Additionally ideal applicants will also have;
- The ability to empathise with others and be respectful of their situation at all times.
- Experience in a customer service or sales environment
- An understanding of the admissions process within aged care
