**The Opportunity**

Visy Logistics is a recognised leader in Australian freight services with comprehensive and competitive road, rail and domestic sea freight, intermodal and 3PL capabilities. We offer genuine end-to-end logistics, taking full advantage of the Visy Group’s existing supply chain network, linehaul fleet and expertise.

Due to a promotion, we now have a permanent full-time role for an ambitious and passionate Inventory Controller to be based out of Spotswood. With frequent travel to our site in Laverton, this is a fast paced, varied role within a highly dynamic, collaborative team that is outcome focused.

**The Role**

Reporting to the State Logistics Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end stock control across the two sites (Spotswood and Laverton). With a passion for coordination and continuous improvement of current systems and processes you will be responsible for ensuring the Visy Glass warehouse operates in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring a highly effective stock inventory process.

**Further to that but not limited to your key responsibilities are**:

- Administers the operation within SAP (or other) WMS including the scheduling, planning, issue resolution, stocking rotation, FIFO, co-ordinate stock cycle counts and investigate discrepancies while ensuring customer requirements have been achieved as per the daily schedule
- Coordinate the day-to-day Visy Glass warehouse order picking and inventory processes operation
- Ensure all inbound and outbound stock is presented in a clean and safe configuration, checked for accuracy and in a timely manner
- Conduct and record relevant stock cycle counts and report all discrepancies to the Site Manager.
- Investigation for cycle count discrepancies and ensure stock write off has been allocated accordingly

**What you will bring to succeed**:

- A few years experience in warehousing/inventory/pallet control ideally within a manufacturing environment
- A strong understanding of warehouse operations and systems SAP highly desirable
- Strong numerical understanding and strong excel skills highly desirable
- The ability to organise and prioritise in a busy environment
- You are a passionate self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment
- Outstanding relationship building, coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
