Opasa is an based Information Technology and Services Company. Our company is searching for a talented Cyber security Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including conducting regular security assessments and penetration testing, developing and implementing security policies, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure security controls are implemented into the infrastructure and systems.

**Job Description**:
Overall Experience: 8+ years

Location: Sydney, Melbourne Australia

Employment Type: Full time, permanent position

Salary package: Starts from AUD 80,000 plus superannuation

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Design and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security controls are integrated into the infrastructure and systems.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting root cause analysis, recommending remediation actions, and implementing security measures to prevent future incidents.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for security improvements.
- Perform risk assessments and assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security consciousness.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of security projects, including the deployment of new security technologies and tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage security incidents and implement appropriate security measures.
- Maintain documentation related to security procedures, incidents, and risk assessments.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in any domain with relevant experience in cybersecurity.
- Proven experience working as a Security Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles, concepts, and technologies.
- Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, firewall technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficient in incident response methodologies and security incident management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
