**About the opportunity**:

As a key member of the fundraising, marketing and communications team, your purpose will be to lead the organisation’s approach to fundraising through grants, foundations and trusts.

You’ll research and project manage a calendar of funding opportunities to generate critical funds for this charitable organisation.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager and working as part of a team of six, your key responsibilities will be:

- develop and manage a calendar of funding opportunities
- research and write engaging, compelling grant submissions, proposals and donor content
- prepare reports for funding providers
- work with the corporate partnerships specialist on prospecting and identifying opportunities
- work with the fundraising manager to manage key donor relationships as required
- engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including families
- support fundraising events as required, including volunteer and supplier coordination
- maintain accurate donor records, in collaboration with the database administrator
- contribute to the development of new fundraising streams (as part of the team).

You might be a fundraiser, business development professional, communicator or bid/tender writer.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need a methodical, process-driven approach as well as positive, forward-thinking mindset. You’ll be someone who’s adaptable, resilient and likes to see challenges as opportunities.

We’d love you to also bring:

- A degree or qualifications in business, marketing, fundraising or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in either fundraising, business development or business writing
- Exceptional written communication skills and attention to detail
- An ability to collate, review and distil large amounts of information
- Demonstrated experience researching and writing factual, evidence based business documents such as grant, proposals, bids or tenders
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills ie the ability to connect the dots and see opportunities
- A collaborative, consultative approach to working with lots of stakeholders
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Sharepoint or similar.
