**About the role**

As the Ranger, you will be responsible for key operational delivery for the three Gresswell Nature Reserves (Gresswell Forest, Gresswell Hill and Gresswell Habitat Link). The key responsibilty of this role is the management of the rare flora and fauna species within these reserves. You will also be involved in operational management of Yarra Bend Park and in assisting the broader Lower Yarra Team deliver its operational goals. You will use your skills and experience to manage, protect and maintain park values and assets, support great visitor experiences, and to protect biodiversity and cultural heritage.

**We're looking for someone with**:

- Sound knowledge of ecological restoration and knowlege of the relevant Ecological Vegetation Communities (EVCs)
- Project and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in operational land management
- A positive work ethic and sound problem-solving skills
- A strong self-awareness and ability to develop and maintain effective relationships

**Culture**

We are a dedicated team of rangers managing the parklands in the lower reaches of the Yarra River which include many significant billabongs, rare plant communities and threatened species. Some of our other parks are Westerfolds in Templestowe, and Banksia and Birrarung in Bulleen. As part of a small, committed team you'll be helping to manage an area that contains an extensive network of day visitor areas, walking tracks, roads and natural features, which draw thousands of visitors per year. Our team also undertakes pest plant and animal management, native vegetation management, Traditional Owner engagement, visitor engagement and compliance activities.
