**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Position Summary
Catholic College Wodonga has on offer a traineeship providing support to teaching staff in the
implementation and execution of the College’s faith and ministry programs throughout 2024.
Responsibilities of the role will include the planning and preparation of school retreats, seminars, camps,
and other excursions. You will also be assisting with and attending youth programs. Applicants must have a
high level of verbal and written communication and understand the importance of planning and
administration. High levels of organisation and the ability to self-manage are essential for success in this
role. The successful applicant will complete a Certificate III in Education Support through AFL Sports Ready.
Child Safety Be familiar with and comply with the school’s child-safe policy and code of
conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety.
- Assist in the provision of a child-safe environment for all students.
- Demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and

mental wellbeing
- Understanding of and commitment to Child Safe Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accountabilities This role works closely with the Director of Catholic Identity to implement and
- promote faith-based programs across the College.

- Assist in the planning and preparation of Learning Community masses,

school liturgies, school retreats and Year 12 Religion seminars.
- Assist in planning, leading, and supporting Youth Ministry programs such

as, Sacramental retreat days, junior retreat days and Wodonga Parish
Youth.
- Assist in the RITE Journey program (classroom support and

excursions/camps)
- Create opportunities for the Youth Ministry team to make a difference in

wider community.
- Attend Youth Ministry camps and Retreats.

Key Accountabilities Assist with preparing & training students prior to liturgies or camps.
- Participate in excursions (both day excursions and overnight) and camps.
- Have a mentoring role with junior peers
- Assist and support in Student Leadership events and activities
- Support students and staff in promoting and facilitating social justice activities.
- Gathering resources at the request of a staff member.
- Modelling SWPBS, prayer and classroom expectations

Qualification
- Organise and manage completion of academic work that is aligned to the role

within the given time frame. This may occur during:

- Selected times during school hours
- Additional times out or school hours
- Regular online or face to face supervisor meetings
- Attend a Trainee Development Program Camp

**SALARY**

$21,500 - $30,000 plus 11% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification

**MORE INFORMATION**
- People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
- This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
