**Your New Role**
Reporting to the Youth Club Manager, you will assist students to develop knowledge, understanding and skills that support learning, positive behaviour and constructive social relationships through social skill programs. You will also provide students, and staff with support and /or appropriate referrals in times of grief and other critical events. **About You**
- Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work, Pastoral Care, or Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care, and equivalent / higher qualification, or be on an approved waiver. The qualification must include 3 units of competency in mental health and making appropriate referrals along with a unit in either pastoral care or working with youth (or equivalent).
- Previous pastoral care or welfare experience (nice to have)
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Hold a current driver’s licence and a Restricted Drivers' Authority (or ability to obtain)
- Eligibility for a Queensland Government Working With Children Check (Blue Card) and Criminal History Check
**Please note**:Working With Children Check (Blue Card) No Card, No Start and Restricted Person legislation applies. **It is a mandatory requirement for all PCYC employees to have received the prescribed number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.** All PCYC employees are required to complete a National Police Check upon commencement.
