Role Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Metallurgical/Chemical Technician, responsible for executing a range of testwork and analyses in our laboratory, including
- Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting analytical testing and metallurgical testing under the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Preparing samples for analysis, including handling, inventorying, crushing, blending, and pulverising.
- Performing routine tests, analyses, and metallurgical testing using standard methods, such as flotation tests, assay digests, leach tests, and other metallurgical procedures.
- Collating test data for evaluation by supervisors and preparing basic reports.
- Ensuring strict compliance with Brisbane Met Lab procedures and policies, including maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the workplace.

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Science, or Chemical Engineering is desirable but not essential.
- Previous laboratory experience and training highly regarded, as well as factory or process skills.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organise workload effectively.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Demonstrate good situation awareness, critical thinking skills, judgement, integrity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Positive attitude, curiosity to learn, and ability to work well with a diverse team.
- Commitment to safe work practices and conscientiousness in safety documentation.
- Basic understanding of metallurgical and analytical processes and testing procedures.
