**About the Opportunity**:
Liverpool Hospital is recruiting for a Health Manager Level 2 to complement and enhance the current General Services Department.

We are seeking someone who has experience in cleaning, laundry services are safe, high quality and comply with appropriate legislation. stock control and budgeting, and who can contain expenditure whilst ensuring effective and efficient service.

You will have previous management experience and be able to work in a large, multicultural and diverse workplace and maintain quality relationships with employees, suppliers and senior managers. You will be a natural leader who can monitor and inspect works being undertaken and provide appropriate feedback to contractors and employees. Your people management and leadership skills will drive you to ensure the department is running effectively as you will be managing a 24/7 service.

Communication is at the forefront of this role and you will be required to work in partnership with all managers in ensuring requirements from General Services are delivered by liaising with external stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.

**What You'll be Doing**:
To coordinate & manage cleaning, linen, distribution centre, courier, waste management, fleet management & pest control, mail room and print room services for Liverpool Hospital.

**Where You'll Be Working**:
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.

The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.

Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.

Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.

Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

- Demonstrated relevant management qualifications and/or experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to plan, organise and lead a cohesive and effective work team
- Proven ability in the management of finance and budget with ability to review and adjust resources to ensure budgetary requirements are met whilst maintaining services at safe levels
- Ability to review and implement changes in work practices to ensure that standards, policies and procedures are being met.
- Proven high level leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated knowledge of accreditation and quality management systems.
