About the role

The Wholesale business unit is uniquely placed between the commercial and supply chains functions, to run the operations which underpin delivery of Diageo’s performance ambition.

Our National Account Executive plays an integral role in our business and acts as a link between our Sales (Commercial) and Supply teams. You will ensure that not only are our Wholesale Customer groups are supported through best-in-class customer relationship management and execution, but the broader customer groups including the Nationals have uninterrupted supply of products.

So, what does this role look like for you?- Day to day management of the NSW, ACT and QLD wholesalers to deliver both Diageo and Wholesaler critical metrics- You will be embedded into the NSW and QLD field leadership team to create an effective line of communication, enable sales and hold accountability- Navigate Diageo’s internal teams such as customer service and credit control to reach customer centric outcomes- Be the go-to guide and first point of contact within the wider wholesale team by owning initiatives which simplify and quicken processes- Introductory Key Account Management responsibilities such as negotiating pricing and discounts, ownership of certain accounts and future expansion opportunities available- Support the National Wholesale & Customer Operations Manager with tasks such as reporting, product set up and price changes

So, what about you?- Demonstrated experience in a FMCG company in commercial or supply chain function- A customer-centric approach and background in a customer-facing role is crucial- Shown history in your ability to negotiate within conflicting priorities- Competent in basic business finance and P&L management- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated experience handling data and reporting- A resilient and problem-solving approach- Previous experience working alongside wholesale, customer service or accounts receivable/payable environment would be highly desirable- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
