**The Role**:
The Aviation Capability Group is experiencing significant growth with the addition of 5 new King Air 360 and 2 brand new, first in country Gulfstream G280 Aircraft. Due to this growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Base Pilot based in Brisbane to support the introduction of a new fleet of fixed wing aircraft. The successful applicant will lead a team of turboprop line pilots & will fly single pilot & two pilot, instrument flight rules (IFR) on dignitary transport, organ retrieval, correctional, police & other government support tasks. 3-year contract position based in Brisbane

**Your Key Accountabilities will include**:

- Lead & manage a team of line pilots to ensure compliance with the Fixed Wing Operations Manual
- Assist the rostering officer as requested to ensure an efficient line pilot roster
- Work with the Head of Training and Checking to ensure pilot recency and currency programs are achieved within required expiry dates
- Administer and conduct training and checking programs in accordance with the organisations Operations Manual
- Demonstrate extensive aeronautical knowledge and experience to ensure compliance with Crew Resource Management (CRM) procedures and flight and safety standards
- Fly single pilot & two pilot, instrument flight rules (IFR) on dignitary transport, organ retrieval, correctional, police and other government support tasks as directed by the Delegate
- Deploy, coordinate, undertake & support operational duties during emergencies & disasters as necessary
- Perform a range of nominated support duties which assist in the operations of Queensland Government Air

**Mandatory requirements**:
Licence & Ratings
- Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL)
- Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 4 Renewals

Flight Hours Requirements
- Minimum 3000 hours total time
- Minimum 2000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
- Minimum 400 hours Night PIC
- Minimum 400 hours Multi-Engine PIC
- Minimum 400 hours Turbine PIC

Certification & Documentation
- Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Current Class 1 Aviation Medical
- Hold a current Australian Passport

**Highly desirable**:
Licence & Ratings
- Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
- Flight Examiner Rating (FER)
- Flight Instructor Rating (FER) - Multi Engine

Type Ratings
- B360 Type Rating
- C208 (or similar) Experience

Special Conditions
Prior to appointment, the successful applicant will be required to complete an initial psychological assessment to determine their suitability to perform the inherent occupational requirements of the role.
In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment testing and participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program.
The preferred applicant will be required to undertake temporary touring duties at any base operated by the Aviation Capability Group.
The preferred applicant must be available for rostered duty within one hour of notification of required flight.
The successful applicant must comply with the organisations Drug and and Alcohol Management Plan
