**Kids Biz OSHC**
Established in 2002, we run exciting and innovative before school, after school and vacation care programs at multiple sites across Canberra. Our extensively resourced services have a focus on active play to support the development of happy and healthy children in a fun and collaborative workplace. We provide children with lots of opportunities to be active and use their imagination to expand their learning and social skills. We love to bring our educator’s interests into our program and provide high-quality support and experiences for our children. Our services are well resourced with an abundance of equipment that is well maintained and continually updated.
**Team Leader Role**
You will be working with another Team Leader and our Coordinator to deliver a fun, energetic and varied outside school hours care program. Directing and assisting team members to run a huge variety of planned activities including: sports, dance, science, art, yoga, STEM, tutoring, cooking, reading, imaginative and free play. Helping children develop their social, emotional, intellectual and problem-solving skills.
**Duties**:
- Support preparation of healthy foods and snacks
- Assist with planning a variety of structured activities & leisure play options
- Supervise children in their learning, development & engagement in planned activities & free play
- Checking for hazards and setting up environments for morning and afternoon sessions
- Assist with record management and documentation
- Support the Coordinator to lead and direct other team members
**Essential Criteria**:
- Must hold a current ACT Working with Vulnerable People card
- Experience working with & supporting children
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Be available 3+ afternoons and 3+ mornings a week
- Interest in supporting the continual development of children
- Completed or undertaking tertiary studies (Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree)
- First aid qualification **or** willingness to undertake qualification
- Knowledge of the National Education and Care Legislation, the National Quality Framework and the My Time, Our Place learning framework

COVID-19 considerations:
Mask wearing at the service is support but not mandatory for team members. Parents and carers do not enter the outside school hours care facilities to minimise any possible exposure to COVID and other cold and flu illnesses.
