As a Ground Training Instructor on the you will become part of a dynamic training team, responsible for conducting the ground training for initial endorsement and type conversion of Pilots in accordance with CASA approved syllabus requirement. Located within Flight Operations, this role will report directly to the Manager Training and Checking Boeing Short haul. At Qantas, we fly the skies across our capital cities in Australia, and to our international ports across the globe. In this exciting role you will be responsible for the following; conducting ground training for pilots in accordance with approved syllabi; developing training material to satisfy identified competencies which are compliant with all regulatory and company requirements; preparing, maintaining and revising the materials required to support the training system and undertaking special training projects as required.

In addition to this, you will also be responsible for complying with Corporate and Divisional/Departmental Service Standards and complying with Corporate Occupational Health and Safety responsibilities Standard.

You’ll have
- Extensive aircrew training experience with a good understanding of airline operations;
- Previous Instructional experience including operation of flight simulators and flat panel training devices;
- Excellent verbal communication skills;
- Hold or have held a Pilot’s Licence (CPL or above)
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training or equivalent qualifications;
- Previous Boeing 737 experience is highly desirable, but not essential; and
- The ability to work as part of a team or autonomously.
