**Your new company**

Join a Federal Government Department located in Brindabella Park, Canberra. Your role encompasses delivering a long-term complex and multiphase program for the improvement of the department. You will be immersed in a ‘knowledge transfer’ environment where skill-sharing is encouraged.

**Your new role**

You will provide advice and support to procurement planning, tendering and contract formation and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.

Tasks include:

- Provide advice and support to procurement planning, tendering and contract formation, while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.
- Generate and review complex contracting correspondence including providing high level advice in relation to commercially sensitive and technically complex reports, submissions, and other documents as required.
- Contribute own expertise to guide and mentor others on aspects of technical and commercial risk principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting activities within Defence.
- Evaluate and design mitigation strategies for the risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
- Design and implement innovative solutions, consulting as appropriate on very complex and strategic procurement contracting issues.
- Develop Offer Definition and Improvement Activities and negotiation strategies.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Current Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement within the Defence environment
- Technical and managerial capability within project delivery

**What you'll get in return**

This is an hourly contract role for a period of up to 12 months until June 2024 delivery an exciting nationwide project for a large Government Department.

As some interstate travel will be required, you will be entitled to travel allowances.
