We prioritise safety, compliance, and client satisfaction, and we’re seeking a proactive Building Estimator/Assessor/ to join our dynamic team.

We’re seeking an **Assessor** ready to travel to one or more of these key areas**:Geelong, Ballarat, and Metro Melbourne.**

**Role Overview**:
As a Building **Estimator/Assessor**, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Senior Management Team by overseeing project planning, cost estimation, subcontractor management, and compliance. Your expertise will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while contributing to strategic growth and operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Estimation & Planning**
- Attend daily on-site Building Assessments
- Estimate costs, timelines, and resource requirements for new and existing projects.
- Define project scope, allocate resources, and establish protocols to meet client expectations.

**Subcontractor & Team Management**
- Source, evaluate, and onboard subcontractors; monitor performance to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Schedule and coordinate staff and subcontractors, providing clear direction and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular site inspections to approve critical project phases and ensure compliance with client specifications.

**Financial Oversight**
- Monitor project budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to control expenditures.
- Contribute to annual operating and capital budget planning with accurate financial insights.

**Compliance & Safety Leadership**
- Enforce adherence to Occupational Health and Safety standards (AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018) and Quality Management Systems (AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016).
- Mitigate risks by ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for all team members.

**Operational Excellence**
- Support strategic planning by providing construction insights for operational reviews and improvements.
- Utilise project management and CRM platforms to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Proven experience in construction estimation, project management, and subcontractor oversight.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and quality systems
- Proficiency in project management software and CRM platforms.
- Relevant certifications in construction management, estimation, or related fields are preferred.
