Workshop Supervisor

- Renumeration based on experience
- Monday to Friday with some Saturday shifts

**Do you think you're qualified for this role?**
- Currently forklift, overhead crane and dogman licenses (highly regarded)
- **Mandatory** to hold a current qualification **to AS2214 **or **Certificate 10 in Welding Supervision**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in a Supervisory or Leading Hand role
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings
- Experience in welding and fabrication
- Previous work experience in the heavy fabrication industry
- Relevant trade qualification in heavy fabrication/welding
- Ability to understand and work from technical drawings
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

**What will you be doing as a Supervisor?**
- **Hands on role - 80% Fab/Weld & 30% supervising**:

- Guaranteeing the safety of the workshop and its employees
- Welding supervisor duties as per AS1554.1 & AS5131
- Monitoring fabrication quality and ensuring adherence to correct standards
- Mentoring, guiding, and supporting the team to maintain a positive workplace culture
- Driving continuous improvements in workshop processes
- Reporting any issues to the manager
- Demonstrating good communication skills
- Being self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Delegating tasks to appropriate staff members
- Managing and updating databases and record-keeping systems
- Handling invoice processing, purchase orders, and receipting invoices
- Printing technical drawings and work packs
