**About the Team**
The Financial Control Branch is responsible for the financial management of the Agency and Scheme, and provides insightful financial reporting to enable strategic decision making. Key accountabilities include producing audited annual financial statements, the Annual Report, budgets, monthly financial reports and forecasts.

**The Role**:
The
**APS4 Finance Officer** is is accountable under general direction to undertake moderately complex finance related activities and tasks within established procedures and guidance. The position will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities.

**Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- Facilitating transaction processing in the systems to ensure financial data is accurate and complete.
- Extracting and analysing data from SAP and other financial systems to resolve enquiries.
- Preparing accurate and timely management reports as required.
- Providing input into the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the team, including process mapping requirements.
- Working with key stakeholders to support various project initiatives.

**Essential Skills and experience**:

- Proven **administration skills** and experience, displaying **organisational** and **time-management** skills.
- Demonstrated experience in a** Finance function**, ideally in **Government or in a large organisation**:

- Demonstrated experience measuring and reporting on compliance with approved policies/procedures
- Demonstrated ability to **interpret, analyse, and present data** and proficient use of **Excel.**:

- Demonstrated **ability to work well** in a **small team**.
- Experience in SAP is desirable but not mandatory
