**About the facility**
Barwon Health, based in Geelong, Victoria, is one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia, providing the full spectrum from primary care, community services, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, emergency and acute care and employing over 8,000 staff.
Procurement Services have offices and store located at University Hospital Geelong. We provide a sourcing, procurement and logistics service to all Barwon Health sites and services and can arrange quotes and any information on items required for the workplace. The product evaluation process is managed by us.
We raise in excess of 19,000 purchase orders every year with a value of approximately $53M. This includes capital purchases, motor vehicles, IT equipment and general supplies. Our stores have over 650 items held in stock, including medical and surgical supplies, domestic, cleaning products, non-perishable food items. We do not carry any pharmaceutical or perishable food items. On average, we issue more than 14,000 stock lines every month with an annual stock turnover of $6.5M.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor and secondarily the Supply Manager, an Advanced storeperson will ensure the accurate, timely receipt of stocked and non-stocked lines, put away of stocked items away in the appropriate location or distribution to their required area and picking and delivery of internally requisitioned orders and Imprest process generated stock movements efficiently, providing solid customer service to the organisation.
They will liaise with the ward clerks, ANUM’s/ NUM’s and other Barwon health staff to determine appropriate Imprest items and PAR levels by area, and be responsible for checking and restocking these areas including non-clinical, clinical and sterile stock areas
