**Revenue Accounting Finance Analyst**:

**What you’ll be doing**:
The objective of the Revenue Accounting Finance Analyst role is to provide analysis, reporting and expert advice based on a clear and strong understanding of accounting, data, processes and systems in the revenue accounting area. You will continuously work to improve these, drawing on advanced systems skills. The role is focused on the flow on accounting impact of Sabre ticketing/Travel bank actions and ability to correctly interpret Data Warehouse data related to revenue and unearned revenue. The role involves understanding and analysing data with a view to continuous improvement and revenue protection; to identify and assist the team with projects and process improvements to drive efficiencies and keep pace with industry and business change.
- Develop and manage reports to drive integrity of the monthly revenue accounting numbers and convey trends for Management as requested. Diagnose trends, analyse and engage leader/Manager to address issues Maintain monthly reporting up to date and in a format that allows quick delivery to various business stakeholders
- Interpretation of contracts impacting on Revenue Accounting such as those in relation to ticket tax remittance, government and commercial agreements
- Identification of issues, whether these be in results, data, accounting or processes, and drive forward innovative resolution. This will require cross department collaboration with front line teams, IT, Sabre and vendors etc.
- Contribute to the accurate and timely production of revenue results and being the ownership of the General Ledger accounts
- Build effective & productive working relationships across the business and within finance
- Manage the preparation of audit deliverables as requested by external auditors and resolution of audit queries
- Continuously look to identify and implement process improvements, cost savings and/or revenue improvements

**Who we’re looking for**:

- Qualification in Accounting, Finance or similar
- Qualification/self taught knowledge in programming language e.g. SQL
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in accounting, reporting and analysis
- Demonstrated experience in developing effective working relationships and delivering high level service, advice and support to meet the needs of diverse work units
- Experience in dealing with external/internal auditors
- Experience in prioritising various types of BAU and ad-hoc tasks, fulfilling the requirements and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in airline revenue accounting in a ticketed environment is highly desirable
- Experience with airline ticketing systems such as Sabre, Galileo or Amadeus is highly desirable
