**Procurement Manager, Personal Injury, Fraud & Intelligence & Recoveries**

**About the role**:
Lead and deliver a coordinated approach to Personal Injury, Fraud & Intelligence and Recoveries Claims Procurement on all strategic projects including, but not limited to, new procurement initiatives, category management and stakeholder engagement. Work closely with the Procurement Operations team to align best practice approaches to sourcing and supplier management across the Claims Procurement team and the broader category management teams.
Coordinate & lead Strategic Sourcing events with the primary objective of reducing costs, leveraging scale, building a competitive advantage and reinforcing the ELT and EGM commitment to cost management, demand and culture.
**More specifically, you will**:
- Identify and collaborate with key stakeholders, internal customers and suppliers to ensure quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency in the Claims Procurement team and the broader category management teams.
- Develop, in conjunction with key stakeholders, the procurement strategy for strategic contracts within Claims. This includes requirements gathering (both internal and external); building category/supplier strategies; cost-reduction opportunities; sourcing; contracting; resource management; project management; stakeholder management; supplier performance & governance; and risk management.
- Quantify, agree and facilitate the verification of cost saves.
- Provide specialist procurement expertise as necessary in addition to commercial rigor, advanced sourcing techniques and benchmarking.
- Map and identify opportunities to improve demand management and cost culture.
- Negotiate and execute extensions, variations and terminations of major legal instruments to meet business needs.
- Resolve strategic contract supplier disputes.
- Develop collaborative supplier relationships which produce additional value. Understand supplier and business processes.
- Participate and collaborate closely with the Operations & Systems team and the wider T&O community to facilitate a seamless and coordinated service to all functional areas.
- Support and encourage key stakeholders to raise the level of awareness and education across Claims on Procurement expertise, policies and procedures to drive early engagement, compliance and improved governance. Report breaches of material non-compliance.
- Working with the Procurement Operations team, enhance the operating model and governance for transactional buying in the Claims Procurement team. Identify operational improvements and efficiencies in the Business approach to procurement to maintain competitive tension and governance.
- Identify potential contract improvement opportunities & re-negotiations that deliver accelerated sourcing for end customers and manage the supplier risk of such engagements.
- Enhance monthly reporting for contract expiry and tracking of sourcing events to deliver a proactive approach to procurement for our internal business customers.
- Collaborate with key strategic stakeholders to develop and implement Sourcing & Procurement strategic plans and negotiation strategies for key spend areas to achieve short and long-term savings targets.
**About You**:
- Tertiary education is highly desirable, with a Procurement & Supply Chain focus or an Information Technology, Legal, Business or Commerce related degree. Mandatory
- Experienced procurement professional with 10 + years’ experience in procurement. Desired
- Experience in Claims (Insurance) procurement 5+ years. Desired
- Experience in managing a team 5+ years. Desired
- Experience in large organisations with complex environments. Mandatory
- Experience in a centralised procurement/commercial environment providing services to a broad customer base. Mandatory
- Experienced in achieving and being accountable for tangible commercial results. Mandatory
- Experience in delivering quality outputs within tight timeframes within a standardised project management framework. Mandatory
- Experience in working with others in a (preferably commercial) strategy setting role. Mandatory

- Experience across various procurement activities including vendor management and preferably strategic sourcing (goods and services)
- Strong negotiation skills demonstrated across a range of supplier, commercial and internal stakeholder management contexts
- Experience in direct category procurement
**Analytics (Intermediate)**
- Analytical business skills
- Ability to analyse procurement spend
- Displays financial / commercial acumen and seasoned business judgment
- Demonstrate experience in understanding and extracting benefits out of value chains
- Exhibit value chain analysis knowledge to assist the business meet their objectives
