Advanced Allied Health Assistant

Allied Health at the SCHHS are part of either an Allied Health Service Delivery Model (AH-SDM) which is based on an integrated, decentralised professionally led approach and report to a Discipline Director or within a dispersed model reporting operationally to an Allied Health Manager.

**Key Responsibilties include**:

- Provide a defined range of specialised clinical screening assessments for patients with complex needs, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
- Provide a defined range of treatments for patients with complex conditions, including using decision support tools, clinical pathways and patient guidelines.
- Identify potential changes needed in treatment programs using results from standardised assessment tools and gain endorsement to make these changes following discussion with the supervising Allied Health Professional
