Ability Mentor Solutions require full-time Disability Support Officer:
The position is initially for 2 years, with the possibility of extension.

The prospective applicant should have:

- Diploma in Community Services or
- Cert III in Disability/Individual Support along with minimum of 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Meet the requirements of NDIS worker Screening Check
- Have Full Australian Driving License
- Knowledge of disability laws, accommodations, and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Prior experience in working with mental disability people or indigenous people is desirable.

The duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Assist clients in achieving their individual goals outlined in their NDIS Plan.
- Provide support to customers, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, domestic activities, and medication administration.
- Contribute to the development, adherence, and implementation of programs aimed at enhancing customers' daily living skills and fostering community integration.
- Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of customers, aligning with privacy legislation and BDMS Community Service’s Policies and Procedures, both during and beyond the employment period.
- Ensure thorough completion of all required paperwork, documentation, and recording in accordance with BDMS Community Service’s Policy and Procedure, including monitoring and documenting activities and goals specified in their NDIS Plan.
- Cultivate positive working relationships with key external disability and service providers.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Applicants need to be flexible and may be required to work outside normal hours.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Shift work

Licence/Certification:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Park Ridge, QLD 4125 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Park Ridge, QLD 4125: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
