The new **Risk, Strategy and Performance Division** within Service NSW has been created to bring focus and co-ordination to:
- Risk and compliance management
- Organisational strategy and performance measurement
- Grants administration and fraud minimisation
- Business continuity
- Audits and resulting actions
- Privacy and information management
**About the role**:
SNSW is developing a new way of managing risk and has established a team to drive risk management and resilience culture and capability throughout the agency including enhancing processes and activities and making them everyday conversations.
As the Risk and Resilience Advisor you will be expected to take a “fresh eyes” approach to your role, bringing a commitment to the principles of good governance, along with the creativity and open-mindedness to embed these principles in ways that supports Service NSW culture and ways of working. Solutions and approaches must facilitate and strengthen our work, ensuring it meets legislative obligations and customer expectations, while catering to an agile environment with regularly changing requirements and priorities.
You will be highly motivated, flexible person who is passionate about customer service and driven to make a difference in your workplace.
On a day-to-day basis you will be part of a team of motivated professionals to support the business to make risk-based decisions.
**In this role, you will**:
- Support the enhancement and redesign of the risk and resilience frameworks, tools, templates, and processes to achieve improved outcomes;
- Assist with the coordination of the business continuity program, liaise with key stakeholders and work in consultation with business continuity to achieve program objectives;
- Contribute to the support of driving strategic priorities and transformation across the agency to improve privacy and risk awareness, capability, and cultural uplift
- Contribute and participate in risk, business continuity, and compliance management activities to deliver to outcomes;
- Build and maintain strong client and team relationships at various levels and work with and build on the culture of the business
- Contribute and provide expert advice and information to inform decision making and mitigate risks to embed SNSW’s strategic direction
- Support the implementation and delivery of risk, business continuity and compliance programs and projects to achieve outcomes
- Research, analysis, and reporting of governance activities to achieve outcomes
- Support business continuity management by assisting with key requirements including stakeholder engagement, business impact analysis, business continuity plans and exercises.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Ability to understand and build capability in risk, business continuity, compliance management, and governance;
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude and ability to work in an agile and collaborative environment;
- A clear, plain English (verbal and visual) way of communicating effectively;
- Ability to engage and influence various internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
- Ability to analyse data and provide insights and recommendations to inform decision making and outcomes.
