**Overview**

You will provide a range of education, training, learning experiences and materials to support midwives and nurses working in Maternity Services across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. Integrating contemporary information and evidence with personal experience, you will provide advice, education and training to midwives and nurses, including new graduates, to enable rapid transition to effective and safe care delivery. You will also coordinate and lead projects, programs and research activities to achieve improved educational outcomes and service delivery. Accepting accountability for the outcomes of nursing/midwifery education practices, you will address inconsistencies between practice and policy, and contribute to a safe and positive work culture in the interest of patient outcomes. You will be registered as a Midwife/Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrate experience and skills in midwifery/nursing education or staff development, you will bring the ability to coordinate and implement education programs and conduct appropriate evaluations of education programs. You will possess highly developed communication skills, along with the ability to prepare and undertake presentations of a high standard in a range of educational settings to both community and professional groups.
