Agronomist

**The Role**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Agronomist to join our close-knit team Bringing your knowledge and practical thinking; you’ll be learning and engaging in all aspects of contributing to a modern-day cropping enterprise.

Our business is a family-owned farming business at Coorow, Western Australia (280km north of Perth) annually cropping 12,500ha of wheat, canola, and lupins. This position is suitable both for experienced farm operators who want to work on an excellent farm and a newer professional who want to learn under the guidance of experienced staff.

We are offering an excellent renumeration package which includes accommodation and a work vehicle.

This position is strictly non-smoking.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Assisting our Operations Manager in all farm activities inclusive spraying, spreading, deep ripping, seeding, harvesting, maintaining infrastructure and general farm duties
- Reporting of all hazards, incidents and near-misses in the workplace
- Maintaining farm records including equipment maintenance logs, paddock inputs and rainfall
- Supervision and training of seasonal staff (as required)
- Planning annual crop rotations and inputs including chemicals, fertiliser, and seed
- Assisting the broader team as required
- Broadacre spraying experience (and experience in related duties)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork
- A solutions-first attitude and a willingness to learn
- Manual C Class Driver’s License as a minimum, preferably HC license
- Other licences or relevant qualifications are an advantage
