About the role

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is a 344 bed private hospital with a 20 bed Level 3 intensive care unit and inpatient rehabilitation ward. The successful applicant(s) will work within the dietetic team to provide dietetic cover for weekend shifts, and also for annual and personal leave on weekdays. Shifts are available across seven days on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nutritional care for a wide range of patient groups including critical care/ICU, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, bariatric, medical, surgical, neurological and orthopaedic.

Develop and prescribe nutrition care plans including enteral and parenteral nutrition

Diagnosis and treatment of malnutrition

Perform duties in accordance with applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines to promote a safe working environment.

What you bring

Eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).

Recent experience in an acute hospital setting. ICU experience desirable but not essential

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a multi-D team

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
