**The Opportunity**

As the Principal Town Planner you are responsible to provide key support for Council’s strategic planning functions, coordinate and undertake development assessment and compliance services. The role involves providing professional advice and support to internal and external stakeholders and actively contributing to the implementation and continuous improvement of Council’s planning policies in accordance with relevant legislation. The Principal Town Planner has a crucial role in ensuring that the development of the Maranoa Region aligns with applicable legislation, policies, and Council's Corporate Plan

**About You**

To be successful you will need to demonstrate that you meet the below mandatory requirements for the role:

- Tertiary qualifications in the discipline of Urban & Regional (Town) Planning
- Current C (Car) Class Driver Licence
- General Construction Induction - White Card
