**The role**

The Global Head of Retail is a senior executive responsible for overseeing and driving the retail strategy and operations of a company on a global scale. Providing leadership, direction, and guidance to ensure the success and profitability of the retail business across all regions. The role requires a combination of strategic thinking, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the retail industry.

The Global Head of Retail will to oversee every function in the successful running of a chain of world class retail stores. This includes meeting your financial and service targets that are reflected in customer reviews and store profitability. You are responsible for maintaining visual merchandising standards that are consistent across all stores. You will be implementing Health & Safety procedures to ensure compliance is met. Identifying clever retail principles that are maximising profit margin eliminating shrinkage and setting service standards that create exceptional customer experience.

The Global Head of Retail is responsible to create an unforgettable customer instore experience through leading, training and developing the retail teams.

**Essential Functions**:

- **Retail Strategy Development**: Develop and implement a global retail strategy aligned with the Culture Kings goal of creating world class unforgettable customer experience. Identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and market opportunities to drive growth and competitive advantage.
- ** Business Planning and Execution**: Create comprehensive business plans for each region, including financial targets, market expansion strategies, store network optimization, and marketing initiatives. Ensure the effective execution of these plans through close collaboration with regional teams.
- ** Operational Excellence**:Oversee the operational aspects of the global retail business, including store operations, visual merchandising, inventory management, supply chain, and logistics. Implement best practices and ensure consistency in processes and standards across all regions.
- ** Team Leadership and Development**:Build and lead a high-performing global retail team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Promote talent development and succession planning.
- ** Leasing and location acquisition**: Collaborate with centre managers, landlords to foster strong relationships to secure competitive advantages and drive cost efficiencies.
- ** Customer Experience and Brand Development**: Drive the development and execution of strategies to enhance the customer experience, increase customer satisfaction, and build brand loyalty. Leverage customer insights and feedback to continually improve the retail offering.
- ** Compliance and Risk Management**: Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations, including legal requirements, health and safety standards, and ethical guidelines. Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the retail business.
- ** Stakeholder Engagement**:Engage with internal stakeholders, such as executives, cross-functional teams, and regional leaders, to align retail strategies with the overall corporate objectives. Represent the company at industry events and build strong relationships with external stakeholders.
- ** Multi-platform alignment**:Align Retail store strategy with our Ecommerce channel to create a unified brand experience.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in retail management, with a proven track record of success in global or multi-region roles.
- In-depth knowledge of the retail industry, including market trends, consumer behaviour, and emerging technologies.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to develop and execute effective retail strategies.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
