Payroll Lead

The Client

u&u is working with an Australian construction services company based in inner north Brisbane. This is an excellent growth and development opportunity for an experienced payroll officer to move into a leadership role within an established and growing business.

The Opportunity

The opportunity is a permanent, full time position with key responsibilities relating to month end, year end and leadership. Duties will include:
Mentoring a team of payroll officers with day to day payroll duties;
Monthly payroll tax payments and reconciliations;
Monthly superannuation payments and reconciliations;
End of month processes;
End of year processes;
Interpretation of multiple EAs;
Payroll system maintenance; and

Supporting the Payroll Manager.

An interest in developing more junior staff members;
Proven experience working in a high volume payroll environment;
Proven experience using large payroll systems;
Experience interpreting multiple EBAs and knowledge of relevant legislation;
Strong communication and stakeholder management duties; and

Commitment to the organisation, long term and an interest in continued growth.
