**Mixed Crop Farmer**
**Salary $60k - $80k per year**
**Main Responsibilities**
As a Mixed Crop Farmer you will plan, organise, control, coordinate and perform farming operations to both grow, harvest and market crops.
**Main Tasks**
- planning crop growing activities including seeding, fertilising, harvesting and other matters to ensure the maximum yields are achieved from crops
- directing and overseeing all crop growing activities including seed planting, pruning, irrigation, fertilising, pest control and weed control
- maintaining crop production and maintaining optimal growing conditions
- maintaining and evaluating records of farming activities, monitoring market activity and planning production accordingly
- managing business capital, monitoring market activity and planning production accordingly
- may select, train and supervise staff and contractors
**Skills**
- Able to work long hours on location.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be physically fit.
**Qualifications**
- Suitable certification or relevant experience
**Experience**
- At least 3 years previous experience in the farming industry.
- Knowledge of farming best practices.
**Salary $60k - $80k per year**
