**The Role**
The APS5 Administration Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance to with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

We are looking for people with strong organisational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will be required to manage priorities, meet deadlines and exercise discretion.

As the Administration Officer you will interpret policy, legislation and procedures and provide administrative support, guidance and advice to the work area. You will also provide administrative assistance to personnel, including transfers and trainee management analysis and recording. This is a desk-based position involving computer use and working with others towards shared goals in a collaborative team environment.

**About our Team**
The Administration Officer will work in an integrated work environment and in a small team at the Royal Military College - Duntroon. They will be required to engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes on behalf of the College.

They will be required to coordinate and contribute to the work of the team. There may be a requirement to coach or supervise a team and be accountable to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance.

They are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training within a work unit.

To be successful in the role, you will need to be a team focused individual who is able to establish and maintain strong relationships within a network of internal and external stakeholders. You will be a results oriented self-starter, have good judgement and the ability to work independently or under limited guidance. You will have great attention to detail with the ability to adapt to competing priorities and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
